The Most Applauded
Excursion - The Golden Triangle

The Golden Triangle, one of
India's most popular tours. This package covers
the very essence of India. The tour takes you
the majestic capital of India, Delhi. Delhi has
a history that dates back nearly 3000 years. It
has been a seat of power for many dynasties that
ruled this region. One of the most prominent dynasties
were the Mughals who have left a lot of architectural
marvels here, the most popular one being the TAJ
MAHAL , the second of our sities in the Golden
Triangle package. The architectural splendour
of the mausoleums, the forts and the palaces are
a vivid reminder of the opulence of the legendary
Mughal empire. The last leg of the Golden Triangle
tour arrives at Rajasthan. Clearly the most colorful
region of India. A land endowed with invincible
forts, magnificient palaces and havelis, unending
hilly ranges andwaves of sand dunes and serene
lakes. You can't have enough of Rajasthan in a
hurry; considerable time is needed to know about
the marvels of the fabled land |

Taj
Mahal: The first stopover by all tourists
to the city. The fifth Moghal Emperor, Shah
Jahan, built it, to perpetuate his undying
love for his queen, the lovely Mumtaz Mahal,
who died in 1631, while bringing forth a
baby, after 18 years of companionship and
much childbirth! Nearly 20,000 designers,
artisans, painters, sculptors, blacksmiths
and laborers constructed the edifice. After
lunch at the Taj hotel which is complimentary
5 hour drive on highway via Fatehpur Sikri,
the first Moghul capital. Arrive at Jaipur
by late evening and transfer to hotel. Overnight

| DAY 03 JAIPUR |
|
| The
pink city is a poem of majestic charm, at the
south-eastern fringe of the desert. The city palace,
the observatory, the palace of winds, Amber fort
and a leisurely elephant ride make Jaipur memorable.
Shopping in the evening is followed by overnight
stay in hotel. In Jaipur, the Past happily co-exists
with the Present. The palaces and forts of yesteryears
that were witness to royal processions and splendor
are now living monuments, accepted quite naturally
into the lifestyles of the present populace. In
the process, little has changed-there is a timeless
quality to the marketplaces and the people of
the city.
